The SNAP Award is awarded once every quarter to a staff member that goes above and beyond their expected duties. For the second quarter of 2022, the SNAP Award was awarded to Krystal Deangelo.
Krystal has been working as a direct support professional for over four months, and she works in the Adams CLA.
Krystal was nominated for this award by her program manager, Renee Maul. Renee said that Krystal is always willing to help out when the facility is short on staff. She is patient and takes time to understand the needs of the individuals she serves. Renee said that Krystal is “a joy to work beside” and “always a pleasure.”
Krystal said she is very happy to be recognized by her managers, and she is glad to know her dedication does not go unnoticed. Krystal said she has enjoyed working at VCS, and she has felt welcomed by staff.
Along with receiving the award, Krystal was also awarded a $100 Walmart gift card.
