A company tradition going back decades.
The 2025 VCS company picnic was decorated to the nines, setting up a day of carnival fun with events to boot! Cedar Creek has played host to our largest and most popular event for decades, and this year was no exception! Thanks to our amazing Maintenance personnel who helped with set-up, we were able to accommodate and serve around 200 individuals and staff!
There were events and games as compliments to this year’s carnival theme. Plinko and Ring Toss were some of the most popular carnival games. Both of which were made and operated by the creative staff at the McCarthy Center. A favorite from last year, the photo booth returned once again with a fitting carnival backdrop and props!
CJ from the central region was our DJ for the event, who kept the tunes going, and everyone dancing! Some picnic bangers included Macarena by Los Del Río and YMCA by Village People! CJ is looking forward to coming back next year with more songs, and more serious DJ equipment!
Thanks to your generous donations and the great work by Debbie and Denise from a local ICF, we had 30 baskets that were auctioned! Both Debbie and Denise wanted to, in their words, “Give back to our DSPs for all of their hard work throughout the year”. Entries for the baskets were free for all attendees!
To our volunteers: Thank you. Whether you brought the Snow Cone machine or a batch of your best homemade cookies for the cookie table, thank you for making this year’s picnic another resounding success!
