The SNAP Award is awarded once every quarter to a staff member that goes above and beyond their expected duties. For the second quarter of 2019, the SNAP Award has been awarded to Pamela Eakin.
Eakin has been working for VCS for 13 years and serves as a Direct Support Professional. She works full-time at the West Sunbury facility.
Eakin was nominated by Program Manager Tina McFeaters. McFeaters said Eakin is always willing to do overtime to help her fellow staff members. She said Eakin will come in early, stay late, and pick up shifts on her days off. McFeaters says she is grateful for all her West Sunbury staff.
Along with receiving the award, Eakin was also awarded a gift card. Eakin said that she is excited about the award and that “it’s nice to be recognized by the agency.”
