The SNAP Award is awarded once every quarter to a staff member that goes above and beyond their expected duties. For the first quarter of 2022, the SNAP Award was awarded to Patricia Blom.
Patricia has been working at Valley Community Services for over three years, and she is the program lead at Autumn CLA.
Patricia was nominated for this award by her program manager, Hope Selfridge. Hope said that Patricia always goes the extra mile in her work, and she is always willing to step up and help out.
She also said that Patricia enjoys taking individuals on outings, and she encourages them to get out and enjoy things that interest them. Patricia stays involved, and with that, she has gone on camping trips, and even joined an individual on a trip to Nashville!
Patricia said that she is excited to receive the award, and she said “I feel proud of myself for all I have accomplished in the time I’ve been with Valley.”
Along with receiving the award, Patricia was also awarded a $100 Walmart gift card.
